About Victor Pagona — Owner & Operator of VP Asphalt Paving

My name is Victor Pagona, but most folks just call me Vick. I was born and raised in the Hopeville section of Waterbury, Connecticut, and I’ve been around the paving services world since I was old enough to carry a rake. 

My first "job" was helping my father on paving crews when I was just 7 years old — mostly earning allowance money at the time, but I quickly fell in love with the work. Watching the transformation from a patch of dirt to a finished blacktop driveway never stopped impressing me.

Over 35 years later, I’m still at it. I’ve built VP Asphalt Paving from the ground up with a strong focus on quality, reliability, and good old-fashioned customer service.

Around here, we don’t cut corners. We do the job the way it should be done  with a solid base, clean edges, smooth finish, and respect for the customer’s time and property. We leave your home better than the day we arrived!

This business isn’t just a paycheck for me. I genuinely enjoy meeting homeowners and business owners across Connecticut, figuring out what they need, and giving them results they can be proud of. 

Even if it’s just a new asphalt driveway, a full replacement, parking lot paving, resurfacing, sealcoating, or a long-overdue repair, my team and I treat every project like it’s in our own neighborhood, because most of the time, it is.
